The Book I Looked At (July 27, 2023)

Inspired by the K-series he watched, LISA (Bela Padilla) Embarked on a journey to write his own book after discovering “To Room 19.” When Lisa published her book, she met a Korean man named KIM GUN HOO (Yoo Min-gon) at a book signing event revealed himself as a devoted fan.
As Gun Hoo prepares to return to Korea, he visits Lisa and invites her to join him in exploring the filming locations of his beloved K-drama. Excited at the prospect, Lisa accompanies Gun Hoo to Korea, where they embark on a memorable tour of his favorite places. However, as the weather changed, Lisa developed a fever. Despite the setback, Gun Hoo faithfully visits her in his rented room. To Lisa’s shock, Gun Hoo revealed that they already know each other and have been in a relationship for the past six years.
Lisa gradually begins to remember her forgotten past. It turned out to be Mary (Lorna Tolentino) Lisa’s mother who works abroad as an OFW, raised Gun Hoo. When Lisa was young, Mary took her to Korea, where she met Gun Hoo. As Lisa grew up and became independent, she moved to Manila and worked there. During this time he received a devastating call from his father PIO (BOBOY GARROVILLO) who informed him of his mother’s tragic suicide. The traumatic event caused Lisa to develop severe PTSD, which led her to forget everything about her time in Korea and even her memories of Gun Hoo.
Despite Gun Hoo’s continued efforts to convince Lisa to stay with him, she disappears without a trace and never returns. A year later, Lisa sent a letter to Gun Hoo, urging him to watch her online interview. In his second book, titled “How I Remember You,” Gun Hoo was identified as Lisa’s inspiration. Through the book, Gun Hoo was able to track down Lisa’s whereabouts, and after their reunion, he presented her with a copy of “To Room 19.” With renewed determination, they promise to stay together this time, cherishing the memories they make along the way.
Good Omens S2 (July 28, 2023)
