The IELTS Prize helps students achieve their higher education aspirations
The British Council, renowned for its commitment to educational opportunities and cultural relations, is pleased to announce that applications for The British Council IELTS Prize 2023 today is open. This annual competition aims to provide support to IELTS test-takers by offering up to PHP 350,000 (£5,000) towards their tuition fees at universities that accept IELTS as part of their admission requirements.
The IELTS Prize welcomes participants living in various countries, including China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka . Through a competitive application process, a total of three winners will be selected from each country, which will award them prize money to support their educational activities.
Eligibility for the prize is extended to students applying for undergraduate or postgraduate studies, either locally or abroad, whose courses start between January 2023 and March 2024. To be eligible, the applicants must have taken the British Council’s IELTS test on or after 1 April 2022, with a minimum band score of 5.5.
