TALISAYAN Mayor Rico T. Taray ordered the temporary closure of the old road (bypass road) and three roads in the town of Miguel Pelaez, Del Carmen, and Manuel Roxas from July 7 to July 16.
The temporary closure of these roads and streets was done under Executive Order No.28 series of 2023 which was recently issued by the mayor of the town to ensure the safety and order of the public during the one week celebration of the fiesta. in honor of the town Patron “Birhen del Carmen. “
Taray said that he wants the celebration to be safe and orderly because he expects that many visitors especially devotees will come to observe the religious practices to honor the town’s patron saint.

“Let’s make sure that SALVATION Our people are devotees of the coming festival, we will temporarily close those roadssaid Taray.
He said the week-long festival has various activities lined up to be held at the Public Plaza.
Taray said that he ordered the local police, Bureau of Fire and Protection, and Municipal Risk Reduction Management Council to implement the said executive order and to be always alert during the celebration.
No vehicles are allowed to cross the affected roads except for pedestrians during the aforementioned period to avoid untoward incidents, said Taray.
