IN a concerted effort to protect the environment, the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippines recently led a nationwide tree planting campaign.
As one of the esteemed goals of the fraternity, this initiative aims to protect mother Earth by planting trees. Ordered by ORDER, all members enthusiastically participated in the event.
Members from the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles throughout Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao actively participated in the extensive tree planting effort.
Key locations in Luzon, such as Pampanga, Benguet, and Cavite, have been identified as areas for this eco-conscious initiative.
The idea for the nationwide tree planting activity started when Eagle Eric Daabay, the President of the Royal Knights Eagle Club in Cagayan de Oro City, observed the decline in tree planting practices within the Fraternal Organization.

He then contacted the various Eagles Regions, proposing the concept of a simultaneous tree planting activity across the country.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, leading to the realization of this ambitious endeavor.

He further emphasized the importance of replacing the trees cut due to deforestation for settlement purposes.
“Trees play an important role in preventing soil erosion, maintaining ecological balance, and creating clean and fresh air,” said Daabay.
With the success of this initiative, members look forward to regular tree planting activities to ensure the growth of more trees.
Marking a significant date in the calendar, the 3rd Saturday of June each year is designated as the annual joint tree planting event across the country, supporting various tree planting efforts that are carried out sporadically. .
