I am an avid fan of Jollibee. He’s so cute, and he can dance! Dancing I think is the most important talent needed for anyone who wears that costume before he can have fun pehpohl audience.

Whenever I saw a video of him, sending it to family and friends became a habit I found hard to break. Even that video of him learning lato-lato.

That year I always wanted a Jollibee mascot for the parties I hosted. A friend, who used to be my co-organizer for a particular party, reacted loudly, Jollibee??? And I answered, Yes! For our volunteers. Who are college students. Maybe too old for a Jollibee party but I want to believe they had fun.

Nowadays, a fun party for me is the kind with beef and pork, no need for lechon, plus diet soda, and lots of dancing. At a recent party, there was more laughter than dancing, however, with many thanks to instant DI aka dance instructor, and Eckhart Tolle’s “The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment” at the end I finished reading. I think the book had an impact on me, especially how I learned to enjoy the present moment.

But if you are an avid Indiana Jones fan, you should go back in time while reviewing the first four installments before watching “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” Time travel movies can be confusing, but with free popcorn to eat, I still enjoy it.

That ever-familiar Indiana Jones theme song is as familiar as “Star Wars” because of, hmmm, two words: George Lucas.

The theme song brought tears to my eyes as other non-movie memories came flooding back. How could I not? “Raiders of the Lost Ark” was released in 1981, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” in 1984, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” in 1989, and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” in 2008.

In 1981, Marcos’ exile in Hawaii was unthinkable. In 1984, anti-Marcos rallies became common after the assassination of Ninoy Aquino in August 1983. In 1989, the Marcoses were still in Hawaii after they were expelled by the 1986 People Power from Malcanang. In 2008, BBM became a congressman again after serving as the same from 1992 to 1995.

It’s 2023, and BBM is the president.

There is this book written by Erick San Juan. Its title: “Marcos Legacy Revisited: Raiders of the Lost Gold.” I don’t have a copy. With no plans to buy or borrow it, I can only make a wild guess that it is about Marcos Gold.

People Power heroes Fidel Ramos, Tita Cory, and PNoy also became president, but they could not solve the mystery behind the mastermind behind Ninoy’s murder. It would have been easy, considering the power of each of them as president. So, how to find the remaining yellow and pink Marcos Gold? If only they had Archimedes’ Dial to take them back to the past, huh?

Politics is very stressful. That’s why I like watching Jollibee videos more.
