Living in a society that sees canine companions as animals that need care, love, and support is at the core of the dog care brand. Doggo since the beginning. Always in line with their philosophy and as a corporate social responsibility initiative, the brand spent a day with 280 dogs to give them TLC and help them find new homes with ambassadors. Megan Young and Mikael Daez on Pawssion Project Foundation in Bulacan.

The Pawssion Project shelters stray and abandoned dogs to rehabilitate and find their furry families. Completely dependent for their operations on donations, the essence of ‘sharing is caring’ is fostered for the foundation. A head volunteer since the organization’s first year Rachel Cribello emphasized, “He was a big deal to us, especially the dog food and shampoos, he gave us exactly what we needed.”
(It’s a big help for us, especially the dog food and shampoos that meet the needs of dogs every day).
The dogs are fed Wet Dog Food, in its chicken and beef variants. Satisfying in more ways than one, this outreach not only marks the dietary needs of canines but also Doggo’s commitment to bringing quality and ‘top dog’ experiences to all. Materializing their mission into action, the donation is a sign of Doggo’s desire to take care of even the most unfortunate dogs with quality products.

Keeping so many hounds healthy is a challenging task for volunteers. On his reason why Doggo continues their NGO outreach, CEO Kurt Cheng explained, “We try to do our best to facilitate events and raise funds for them, more than once or twice in a year. Pawssion and Doggo also started at the same time, so we share a sentimental connection. Deeply committed to animal welfare at a young age, Cheng made it Doggo’s mission to also promoting the same in ways that the brand can create change, hence lending a hand. To ensure that this effort remains sustainable and continues to feed the dogs, the brand donates gift packs with including: Doggo Treats, feeding bowls, water dispensers, beds, leashes, as well as shampoos, conditioners, and grooming tools for proper hygiene care.
Young and Daez also handled the feeding who, according to Doggo’s commitment, are no strangers to responsible pet ownership and care.
“It’s great to see how far the Pawssion Project has come in caring for dogs. We have been supporting them for the past two years and SOLUTIONS (Mikael) doesn’t know this but I also send them funds from time to time,” Megan admitted to which Mikael added, “It’s nice to work with Doggo, to see a brand that always repeats the improvement of the welfare of animals. Seeing the dogs, the volunteers, and the brand come together — it’s an inspiring experience. “

The event also featured rescued dogs in hopes of finding their forever people, reinforcing Doggo’s approach to encouraging adoption and supporting the organization’s primary pursuits. Cribello stated that pet care brands like Doggo can help create more impact and influence a larger audience when it comes to animal welfare.
“I hope we can adopt more pets and improve our facilities. Not because the dog is beautiful, get it, but if it gets sick, don’t take care of it and just return it to us. If they really need us, I hope to be ready We are also responsible.”
(We hope to put more pets up for adoption and to improve our facilities. Just because a dog looks good, they will adopt it but keep giving it up to us when it gets sick. We hope that they ( adopters) do not run away from responsibility when pets need us the most).
In this same advocacy campaign, Young and Daez echoed, “I’m very new to pet ownership so this event is a reminder of how I, too, need proper education when it comes to pet ownership. -taking care of pets,” Daez claimed. While Young, in agreement, said, “I hope that over time, we can help other owners to be more responsible as well.”
This is not the first time Doggo has supported the NGO when it comes to adoption drives. Always active in establishing a deeper connection between dogs and people, the pet care brand also hosts Doggo Pawty—an event in December 2022 that aims to strengthen the bond between fur babies and ‘furents’. Here, strays for adoption are also shown to help them find new homes.
More paw power for Doggo
With the Pawssion Project home to many of the nation’s pets in need, the brand intends to continue their partnership as a long-term commitment. “As long as Doggo continues to grow and grow, we will definitely expand our reach,” the CEO hoped.
If one is motivated to make a difference and bring hope to rescued pets, volunteers and donations are greatly encouraged at the Pawssion Project.
