In support of the country’s efforts towards data privacy and protection, McDonald’s Philippines, together with PLDT wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), extended SIM Registration to Smart and TNT subscribers at selected McDonald’s stores nationwide.
McDonald’s, in partnership with Smart, played a key role in supporting the initial run of nationwide SIM Registration as it turned 35 select McDonald’s stores with unused party areas into temporary SIM Registration sites.
By offering their stores as locations for SIM Registration for Smart and TNT subscribers, McDonald’s Philippines provides accessibility and convenience for more Filipinos, especially mobile users who need help registering their their SIMs.
Since the launch of the temporary sites in April, more than 10,000 Smart and TNT subscribers have successfully registered their SIMs at selected McDonald’s stores.
