GINGOOG City ― A resident of Barangay Lunao was crowned Miss Gingoog City 2023 here recently.
Misamis Oriental Governor Peter M. Unabia and City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa crowned Gwyneth Jamimah Chan (Candidate No. 13) during the Grand Coronation Night held at the Arturo Lugod Gym last July
Chan also won the special awards for Best in Swimsuit and Best in Gown, said Jose L. Bollozos, chairman of the Gingoog City Tourism Council and chairman of Miss Gingoog 2023.
According to him, Chan received a cash prize of P75,000 and a bouquet handed to him by Governor Unabia and Mayor Cañosa.

Erika Gabutan (Candidate No. 3) and Rachel Jao (Candidate No. 12) won as first runner-up and second runner-up and received P50,000 and P35,000, according to Bollozos.
He added that crowd drawer Francessa Marie-Iam Baguiz (Candidate No 4) and Ellen Abejo (Candidate No 5) completed Chan’s court as 3rd and 4th runners-up.
The candidates who did not win received P10,000, said Bollozos.
In his message during the coronation night, Cañosa thanked the candidates for participating in the pageant and the judges led by Director Marie Elaine S. Unchuan of the Department of Tourism-10.
