For many years local government has been the center of delivery of health care services to individuals and communities. This is a critical role recognized and codified under the Local Government Code of 1991, which employs Local Government Units (LGUs) to make health care available to Filipinos. Across the country, LGUs have taken the initiative to establish their own health programs, demonstrating their commitment to providing sustainable healthcare solutions to Filipinos.
This mandate is fully aligned with Generika Drugstore’s mission to provide individuals and communities with access to affordable and quality healthcare. It is this shared purpose that drives Generika Drugstore, a member of the Ayala Healthcare (AC Health) Group, to join forces with the LGUs through Generika’s Ginhawang Barangayan. This flagship program aims to support various health programs in LGUs throughout the country and become a reliable partner in the healthcare community. With this collaboration, Generika Drugstore strives to help develop a healthy future for communities by bringing basic health services and health education campaigns to the barangay level.
For its first run held on June 30, Generika Drugstore collaborated with the Municipality of Pateros for its medical mission in Brgy. The Sta. There.
