POLICE Regional Office (PRO-13) conducted manhunt operations and arrested four suspended senior officials in Butuan City last week.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Agusan del Norte Provincial Field Unit arrested last Thursday four officials of the Department of Agriculture-13 through an arrest warrant for violating Republic Act No. 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices and Article 217 or the Malversation of Public Funds or Property of the Revised Penal Code.

The four officers were identified as Edgar Dahino, Jessica Da-an, Merylinda Santos, and Gerry Leop. Dahan is Assistant Regional Director while Da-an, Santos, and Leop are former Chief Administration and Finance, Budget Officer III, and Regional Accountant, respectively.
PRO-13 Director Brigadier Gen. Pablo Labra II said the arrested officials were involved in the 2004 fertilizer fund scam of an Agricultural Reinforcement Project between the Local Government Unit of Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte, and the Philippine Social Development Foundation Inc. non-governmental organization of Janet Napoles, also known as ‘Pork Barrel Queen.’
Labra disclosed that the arrest warrant was issued on May 26 and the four officers were suspended before they were arrested.
The Associate Justice of the Sandiganbayan’s Fourth Division, Quezon City set P210,000 bail for each of the officers.
