TAGOLOAN, Misamis Oriental ― Aloma Beja Emano, mother of Misamis Oriental 2nd District Rep. Yevgeny Vincente ‘Bambi’ Emano, became the center last Friday in the celebration of his son’s 25 years in public service.
At the Tagoloan Dome, Aloma led the celebration with a speech saying that he is blessed to have a son like Bambi with his late father, former Governor Vicente Emano.
“(if) just to know (that) the four of them are straight, they would be a dozen now,” he said jokingly.
His son celebrated his 25 years of public service on June 30. He served as mayor of Tagoloan, 2nd district representative, provincial governor, and now back to represent the 2nd district of the province in the Lower House of Congress.

For his part, Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Yvy B. Emano, Bambi’s brother, said that he may not have surpassed their father’s achievements but his leadership is truly exceptional.
Tagoloan Mayor Nadya Emano-Elipe gave her brother a sign of appreciation that was included in the official seal of the municipality.
The celebration is called “Bambi Service Twenty Five,” said former Libertad Mayor Alberto Acain in a telephone interview.
Emano started his political career at the age of 23. He served as the mayor of Tagoloan from 1998 to 2007, then served as the representative of the 2nd district of the province for two terms, from 2007 to 2013.
He was then elected governor of Misamis Oriental in 2013, 2016, and 2019. He is currently serving the province as the representative of the 2nd district from 2022 until now.
