
The beloved Dabarkads of Eat Bulaga, popularly known as Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon (aka TVJ), are back on TV in their exciting new show “EAT” on TV5. The pilot episode aired on Saturday, July 1, and it was an uplifting and joyful affair.
TVJ, along with Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Carren Eistrup, received a warm welcome in their “new home” at the TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong. They performed some great works during the show, including songs like “Sugod” by Sandwich and the classic OPM hit “Ikaw Lang Ang Aking Mahal,” written by Joey and composed by Tito under the group VST&Co .
In the midst of a trademark dispute with their former blocktime producer, TAPE, Inc., who is still running Eat Bulaga with new hosts, TVJ sang the iconic theme song “Isang libo’t isang Tuwa,” highlighting the “EAT” part and avoided singing “Bulaga.” .”
