Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) An exciting season of motorsport events begins in 2023 with the local round of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Gran Turismo Cup Philippines (TGR GT Cup PH) on June 28, 2023. In addition, the first leg of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Vios Cup 2023 (TGR Vios Cup) occurred on July 1, 2023, marking the beginning of a series of events.
Excited e-motorsport fans from all over the country gathered to witness the first round of 2023 TGR GT Cup PH, which is the initial qualifying round of three. The exciting event took place on June 28, 2023, and featured the Tsukuba Circuit racetrack, with the GR 86 serving as the simulation car for the race.

The TGR GT Cup Philippines features a combination of first-time participants and seasoned competition veterans this season. Notable achievements include David Enzo Ison taking first place in the Junior Class, Stanley Theodore Golez emerged as the champion of the Promotional Class, and former champion Louis Moreno reclaiming his title as Sporting Class Champion.
In the Junior Class, Joshua David Marquez and Russian Gabriel Formoso took second and third place, respectively. Diego Herrera and Benedict Salido Golez was closely followed in the Promotional Class. Finally, Matthew Spencer The and Russell Reyes took second and third place, respectively, in the Sporting Class.
Fans can watch the broadcast of TGR GT Cup Philippines Round 2 on July 14, 2023, which will be streamed on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Facebook page. The stream starts at 7 pm. For those interested in participating, registration for the third and final local round is still open. Players need a Sony PlayStation 4 or 5, an active PSN Account, and a PS Plus Subscription. The atmosphere in the grandstand of Clark International Speedway (CIS) was filled with the exciting sound of cheering from motorsports enthusiasts during the opening leg of the 2023 TGR Vios Cup on July 1, 2023. The spectators enthusiastically supported their favorite racers and racing teams, creating an electric atmosphere in the event.

At the Clark International Speedway (CIS), TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto warmly welcomed the racers and fans, acknowledging their important role within the growing TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines family.
He thanked all the participants, racing teams, fans, and supporters for their continuous support throughout the history of the Vios Cup, and he emphasized their importance in the future development of the program. Okamoto specifically highlighted the coming era of carbon neutrality in motorsports, highlighting the commitment to sustainability.
The first leg of the TGR Vios Cup this season also marked the debut of the Corolla Altis GR-S HEV, known as the Hybrid Electric Racer. The Corolla Altis GR-S HEV serves as a safety car for this season, showcasing the integration of hybrid technology within a motorsports event.

The Circuit Championship races saw Team Toyota Cebu make an impressive start, with Jarond Messina and Ian Rosales securing the top positions in the Promotional and Super Sporting classes, respectively. Meanwhile, Toyota Balintawak Inc. – Obengers Racing Team topped the Sporting Class podium with newcomers Bern Corpino take the top spot.
In the Promotion class, Alain Alzona of Toyota General Santos – Chooks-to-Go Racing claimed second place, followed by Bong Garbes in Inbox Toyota San Fernando on the third. In the Sporting class, Michael Keilani Jordan and Maila Alivia secured the second and third positions, respectively. Gerard Loy and Bryan Co the R Racing Team completed the podium spots in the Super Sporting Class.
Strong performances by these teams and drivers demonstrated their skill and competitiveness in the races, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.

The Autocross Challenge witnessed thrilling turns and dashes as media personalities and influencers gave it their all on the track. Pattice Tenorio of Zigwheels, a Vios Cup rookie, emerged as the Media Promotional Class champion. Cesar Miguel from Philkotse took second place, while Riz Javier from Top Gear took third place.
In the Media Sporting Class, Siegwald Go assumed the highest position, along with the newcomers Justin Young from Visor comes second and john rey san diego from Autocar Philippines finishing third.
The Promotional Influencer Class featured an all-female podium finish, with Bianca Yao as champion, followed by Arianne Bautista and Apple David in second and third place, respectively.
Miguel Romulo showed remarkable improvement in the new season, taking first place in the Sporting Influencer Class. Lexi Mendiola and Reph Bangsil followed closely behind in second and third place.
The amazing performances of these media personalities and influencers added to the excitement of the event, showcasing their expertise and passion for motorsports.
