The Philippines has an abundance of stunning natural resources and an awe-inspiring environment. However, beyond its physical beauty, the true wealth of the country lies in its people. This is exactly what it is iHeartPh object of celebration – the beauty of the Philippines and its people.

As a magazine show, IHeartPh has consistently raised the image of the Philippines and its people, spreading positivity and promoting love and admiration for our country. The program also plays an important role in boosting the government’s tourism campaign, “Love the Philippines!”
Hosted by Valerie Tan, who shared his deep love for the Philippines, IHeartPh highlights the many reasons to love the country. Valerie said, “There are countless reasons why I love the Philippines! First, our beaches are unparalleled and our natural wonders are abundant, offering endless opportunities for exploration. Second, Filipino cuisine is a true delight, even the famous ones Anthony Bourdain described the Cebu lechon as ‘the best pork, ever.’ Lastly, the warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people is unmatched. Filipinos are known for their kindness, warmth, and constant smile.”
Debuted on CNN Philippines in 2018, IHeartPh is now in its 8th season and continues to deliver on its promise of showcasing inspiring stories and aspirational segments.
Valerie shared her enthusiasm, saying, “I love experiencing new things and visiting new places. However, what I really value is the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, connect with them, and share their stories with our viewers.
IHeartPh spreads positive and good vibes locally and internationally. In fact, the Taiwanese government chose it for their tourism promotion efforts. Serving as a regular TV program partner for the promotion in the Philippines, IHeartPh has featured the Taiwanese beauty on several occasions, most recently through “Love to Have Fun in Taiwan” campaign.
“We are very proud that our show has been recognized beyond our borders,” said the Executive Producer Vanessa Verzosa. “Maybe the reason the Taiwanese government trusts us is because they see the direction of the show, which is to promote inspiring stories and aspirational features. Our show is in line with their goals.”
IHeartPh has earned the trust and support of large and small companies, global and local brands, as well as famous and everyday individuals who share their stories.
Valerie added, “Every story we feature is unique, and always has something valuable to gain, not only for our viewers but also for me personally!”
As the host of the program, Valerie immerses herself in the captivating stories featured on the show and finds joy in each one. One of his most memorable experiences was visiting the Amis tribe, the largest indigenous ethnic group in Taiwan. There, he understood their way of life, witnessed their fishing and cooking techniques, and even participated in their dances. Valerie shared, “It’s interesting to note that, like us Filipinos, they have a deep love for singing and dancing!”
“Another unforgettable part is the rags to riches story of a member of an important oil company. It serves as a testament that our past does not define our future, and we can use the challenge we face as fuel for success.
With eight seasons and counting, IHeartPh is firmly established in the hearts of Filipino viewers, continuously nurturing their love for the country. The show continues to ignite the pride and admiration of Filipinos.
“Our commitment is to present world-class visual narratives to our viewers,” said the program director. Jallawee Britan. “We listen to our viewers because they deserve a program that not only pleases their senses but also touches their souls.”
“You can be sure that you will be inspired after each episode,” Valerie said. “Wherever our show takes us, the Philippines will always be our home.”
