Canon recently announced the introduction of three more versatile devices aimed at meeting the various printing needs of businesses. These new products include the image PROGRAF TC-20M large format printer, the R40 document scanner, and the iR 2224N multi-function device.

Introducing the TC-20M: a compact all-in-one large format printer with a 4-color pigment ink system. This versatile printer is equipped with an A4 flatbed scanner, which enables users to easily make copies from cut sheets and roll papers. This gives flexibility in scaling A4 documents on A3 cut sheets, A2 or A1 roll papers, and even the full width of the rolled paper. Users can easily select portrait or landscape orientation from the user panel.
The TC-20M includes a ‘Repeated copy’ feature, which allows users to copy and print the original document repeatedly using roll paper. This feature is ideal for applications such as paper packaging or retail store banners. In addition, the ‘Enlargement copy’ function enables the scaling of A4 handheld leaflets and handwritten manuscripts to create large posters for use in travel agencies or food and beverage outlets.
With a flatbed scanner, thick booklets or brochures can be converted into hard or soft copies for distribution. In addition to the copy function, the TC-20M supports direct printing and scanning of JPEG and PDF files using a USB memory stick, eliminating the need for a workstation.
Similar to the TC-20, the TC-20M is designed to easily fit into tight spaces, making it suitable for remote worksites, small offices, and retail outlets. Front access to the printer allows for convenient daily operations related to printing, such as loading paper, refilling ink, and replacing the maintenance cartridge. The printer supports roll paper up to A1 plus width and is equipped with a standard auto sheet feeder for A3 or A4 cut sheets, making it a versatile all-in-one machine for copying , scanning, and printing.
To improve productivity, the TC-20M has 70 ml ink bottles for four colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black), enabling continuous printing, especially useful for CAD drawings and poster printing. Each color inklet is uniquely designed to prevent improper loading of ink bottles, ensuring trouble-free operation. The large capacity of the printer’s ink tank reduces the time and effort required for refilling ink. It can create a bright red color for technical drawings, graphics, and flyers that are commonly used in various applications. Optional desktop baskets are available for collecting and holding large format prints and tall banners.
In addition, Canon has upgraded PosterArtist to version 1.1, which offers new features such as double-sided printing and variable printing functions. Users can now customize text data and create brochures, booklets, certificates, event invitations, and more. PosterArtist V1.1 also provides an expanded range of new and trendy design templates for creating personalized flyers, food menus, marketing collaterals, calendars, and photo collage to meet business and personal needs.
Introducing the R40, a user-friendly scanner designed for fast and efficient document scanning and conversion into searchable digital formats, with bundled software. With simple single-button operation, scanning can be fast and hassle-free. In addition, you have the option to program up to 9 shortcuts, further streamlining the scanning process. The R40 boasts a scan speed of 40 pages per minute (ppm) and can produce high-quality scans for both sides of documents simultaneously.
Equipped with a precise and accurate feeding roller, the R40 ensures reliable scanning of various document types. Its Automatic Document Feeder has a capacity of up to 60 sheets of paper, allowing for efficient and uninterrupted scanning.
