Earlier this year, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) obtained licenses for four captivating films from Belgium, Austria, Cambodia, and the United Kingdom. These movies are set to be released commercially in partnership with Ayala Cinemas, scheduled to air from July 26 to 30.
Through the joint efforts of the Audience Development Program of FDCP and Ayala Cinemas The A-List Series, the goal is to make the acclaimed movies more accessible to movie lovers under the banner of “A-List Series Presents: FDCP World Cinema.”
Through this exciting partnership, FDCP and Ayala Cinemas will introduce world cinema titles to Filipino audiences. The initial selection includes films that have received multiple accolades from esteemed film festivals and award ceremonies.

Ayala Cinemas, along with select venues such as Cinema ’76 and FDCP Cinematheque Centers, will screen a lineup of acclaimed films that have received recognition at the Cannes Film Festival. This includes “after the sun,” ruled by Charlotte Wells, “Close,” ruled by Lukas Dhont, “Corsage,” ruled by Marie Kreutzer, and “Back to Seoul,” ruled by Davy Chou. These screenings will take place in various areas, including Metro Manila, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Nabunturan, and Negros.
In a statement, Tirso Cross III, THE Chairman and CEO of FDCP, is proud to present these award-winning films from around the world. He assured the audience that they will have a unique experience while watching these movies and hopes that they will serve as a source of inspiration, deepening their appreciation for profound cinematic artistry.
Beyond its goal of attracting viewers back to theaters, this program aims to expose moviegoers to a diverse selection of films that will broaden their horizons and enhance their cinematic experiences.
