March 11th marks the 6th year of my ESL teaching career and many things have changed.
I started a business earlier this year and my blogging activities have become busier. I got to meet a lot of people, especially people in the business scene.
I thought I could use some business workshops because I’ve been an independent contractor for many years now, so, I can’t attend any of the business workshops given by the company I work for. The last time I attended work-related seminars was when I was at a broadcasting company, but our seminars were for voice and acting.
I was delighted to be invited by Go Up Events Management to participate in their workshop. Before I talk about the workshop, let me talk about the event management.

The Winning Image Workshop
The seminar was a fun experience for me. I was with more than 30 attendees from different companies, some of them fellow bloggers from other niches. The seminar was sponsored by go up activities.
The speaker is Ms. Leizel Obuga I find funny and funny. It seems exaggerated but I cried because of his punch line. Not to mention his sidekick, Darren who conducted the make up part workshop.
I’m late. Some parts are missing because I have to finish some mother works before I can go to the seminar in Ortigas.
Takeaways
As a blogger and an aspiring entrepreneur, I am in the business world and it is important to have the knowledge of trust. How you carry yourself has an impact on your business. It also determines whether you get a client or close a deal, because how you present yourself matters.
Why is this important?
I learned from the workshop this very important line: You are the message.
And I couldn’t agree more. People will decide to associate with you if they know you are trustworthy, you are trustworthy. All this, they base on how you present yourself. When you start a business, you need to make a good impression.
