There are some big changes in the way to get to Japan, restrictions have been eased and it’s easier than ever to visit! These days you can explore Japan on your own terms and learn more about its unique culture. To make planning your trip simpler, you no longer need to show a valid vaccination certificate or a negative COVID test.

Step One: Secure Your Visa
If you are Filipino, you are ACT must and Visayan to visit Japan. The website of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines has many resources to help you obtain the visa that best suits your needs.
Step Two: Book your Flights and Accommodation!
There are many options for airlines to choose from when you want to visit Japan. From Manila there are Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways that fly from Manila to Tokyo Narita and Haneda. Other options include Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific that fly from Manila to Narita, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. AirAsia flies from Manila to Tokyo Narita, and Osaka, while Jetstar flies from Manila to Tokyo Narita and Nagoya.
If you are looking to fly from Clark, Cebu Pacific flies to Tokyo Narita. And from Cebu, there are flights available to Tokyo by Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines.
Step Three: Purchase Travelers Insurance
While you are visiting Japan, it is recommended to purchase travel insurance that should be arranged before your trip. This is optional but highly encouraged. This step is to ensure you are protected while you explore Japan!
Step Four: Do your Customs and Immigration Forms Online
There are still forms you need to complete for your entry into Japan. This is all that we used to fill in the plane, now the information is transferred via QR code. They make for a smooth login process and you can do all your forms on your phone. You just need to go to Visit Japan Web.
Note: You must complete these forms at least one day before your flight.
There are instructions on the welcome page on how to get started. Go easy on your entry without stress, just show your phone to the officers.
Step Five: Arrival!
There are many places to experience while you are in Japan, not just the popular tourist spots! Why not visit some destinations off the beaten path?
Tokyo, Kyoto, and other tourist centers are great places to see, but there is so much more to Japan! Explore an unfamiliar part of the country. Visit the snow monkeys in Nagano. Food trip in Fukuoka. Skiing in Yamagata – so much to do!
