
the Batangas Society of Industrial Engineering Students (BSIES), will once again host their annual Provincial Congress, entitled “7th BSIES Congress,” with the theme “In More: Industrial Engineers Navigating the Road to Innovation through Academic Competence,” which happens to March 18, 2023on Claro M. Recto Events CenterLipa City, Batangas.
The event will take place in one (1) day in full face-to-face after the years of the pandemic that hindered this type of set-up, with the morning having competitions in the Innovation and Design academy , Case Study, and Quiz Show followed by a Seminar discussion themed “In Search: Exploring the Use of Lean in Emerging Industries” in the afternoon, highlighting their areas of expertise.
The academic competitions welcome entries from affiliated schools and for all Industrial Engineering students of all year levels in and outside Batangas to demonstrate their potential to solve real-life problems. by designing their solution and maximizing their potential and growth. This competition is dedicated to demonstrating students’ knowledge, skills, and creativity in solving and resolving issues while using various Industrial Engineering concepts and applications.
By developing a shared sense of purpose that nurtures knowledge and skills, this competition will be a great opportunity to promote academic quality, integrity, and empower Industrial Engineering students in the face of adversity.
The seminar, which will be held in the afternoon, will deal with the advantages of Lean manufacturing in the industry. It is designed to introduce the basics of Lean manufacturing and its principles by focusing on the application of Lean practices and tools in the manufacturing sector.
In addition, this event will offer a variety of theme-based theories, concepts, and industry practices delivered by distinguished speakers and representatives from respected organizations and businesses, with the aim of becoming education and participation of all IE students. It is a gathering of Industrial Engineering students and professionals from all over the province, in pursuit of unlimited Industrial Engineering excellence.
While BSIES remains strong as the leading organization for Industrial Engineering students in the province of Batangas, committed to providing excellent services for holistic development and development, despite the current challenges.
BSIES hopes that this year’s theme will inspire industrial engineers to expand and diversify their ideas to maximize progress. This allows the participants to recognize the excellence of the abilities needed to meet more than one developed goal.
